Privacy Policy

1. Information we collect

• Account information: your email address, and your name/profile picture if you sign in with Google. We use Supabase Auth to handle sign-in. We never see or store a password.
• Billing information: your subscription tier, status, and billing history. Payment card details are entered directly into Stripe’s own secure checkout. We never see or store your card number.
• Usage data: which skills, sparring partners, or legal assistants you access through Claude, ChatGPT, or any other MCP-compatible assistant, and when. This powers the Usage page in your dashboard and helps us understand which skills are actually useful.
• Firm seat information: if you’re invited as a Firm-tier teammate, the email address used to invite you.
• Standard technical logs: IP address, browser type, and similar information automatically collected by our hosting provider (Vercel) for security and reliability, in line with normal web hosting practice.

2. What we don’t collect

We never see the substance of what you draft using our skills, or the content of any conversation you have with a sparring partner or legal assistant persona. Client names, case facts, and documents you generate through Claude or ChatGPT stay between you and that assistant. We only log which skill, persona, or legal assistant was called and when, not what you asked it to do or what it produced.

3. How we use this information

• To create and maintain your account and subscription
• To process payments and send billing-related emails
• To send account emails: login links, and, if you’re a Firm owner, notices about seat activity
• To show you your own usage history in your dashboard
• To keep the service secure and diagnose problems when something breaks

We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising.

4. Who we share it with

We use a small number of service providers to run ParalegalSkills.ca, each of which processes data only on our behalf and only as needed to provide their service:

• Supabase: hosts our database and handles sign-in
• Stripe: processes payments and stores your billing/card details securely
• Vercel: hosts the website and our MCP server
• Resend: delivers account emails (login links, notifications)

We don’t share your information with anyone else, except where required by law.

5. Data retention

We keep your account and billing information for as long as your account is active, and for a reasonable period afterward for legal, tax, and dispute-resolution purposes. You can ask us to delete your account and associated data at any time by emailing us (see below).

6. Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you at any time. Email us at hello@paralegalskills.ca and we’ll respond promptly.

7. Cookies

We use a single essential cookie to keep you signed in between visits. We don’t use tracking or advertising cookies.

8. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we’ll update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of ParalegalSkills.ca after a change means you accept the updated policy.
